Frame vuole dare una definizione dei limiti di
spazio e tempo. Nella storia delle arti visive, il frame
è sempre stato presente, non solo come limite fisico
del medium, ma anche a un livello di percezione
intellettuale: è nel Rinascimento che abbiamo imparato
le regole per trasporre la terza dimensione e la sua prospettiva su una superficie piatta, grazie al pittore italiano Masaccio. Nel loro video-mapping, i frame di Visionfactory diventano l’architettura e la storia del monumento: grazie alla nostra creatività possiamo permetterci di riempire ognuno con il significato che vogliamo – e poi uscire da quel frame per passare a un altro.
Frame wants to define the limits of space and
time. In the history of visual arts, the frame has always
been present, not only as a physical limit of the medium, but also at a level of intellectual perception: it is in the Renaissance that we learned the rules to transpose the third dimension and its perspective onto a surface flat, thanks to the Italian painter Masaccio. In
their video-mapping, Visionfactory's frames become
the architecture and the history of the monument:
thanks to our creativity we can afford to fill everyone
with the meaning we want – and then get out of that
frame and move on to another.
